Assessment Portal

DESCRIPTION

Embry-Riddle's university-wide assessment program employs the "5-Step" approach to assess our programs, services and operations, use the resulting information to make substantive improvements, and document our assessment and quality enhancement activities. Simply put, the assessment process asks the following series of questions:

  • What are we trying to accomplish and why?
  • How well are we doing?
  • How do we know?
  • How do we use this information to improve?
  • Do these improvements work?

Assessment and quality enhancement are things that most of us already do -- at least on an informal basis. Participating in the University's assessment process only requires the additional step of documenting what it is that we do. By taking this additional step, we can more effectively communicate what we are about to one another and to our constituents.
